Basic Obedience
A well trained dog makes everyday life easier and more enjoyable for everyone. Whether you have a young adult dog who missed out on early training, or an older dog whose foundations need some work, the Basic Obedience program is designed to build the kind of reliable, real-world behavior that owners can depend on.
This program is available for dogs 8 months and older, with no upper age limit. It is structured around 6, 8, or 10 sessions depending on your dog’s current level, your goals, and a realistic assessment of what it will take to get there. Sessions take place both in your home and out in public, ensuring that the skills your dog develops hold up across a variety of environments and situations. Every training plan is fully customised to suit your individual dog and your specific goals – because no two dogs, and no two households, are the same.
What We Cover:
The Comprehensive Puppy Program includes the core areas of early puppy training such as crate training, toilet training, nipping, basic obedience, socialisation, as well as a wider range of skills for everyday life:
Foundational Obedience
The program covers the core cues that every well mannered dog needs to know — Sit, Down, Stay, Place, and Leave It. We work on these in a way that is clear and consistent, so that your dog understands what is expected of them both at home and out in the real world.
Loose Leash Walking
Walking calmly on a leash without pulling, both in your neighborhood and in busier, more distracting environments. We also work on polite public behavior so that walks are enjoyable and stress-free for both you and your dog.
Impulse Control
Teaching your dog to make better choices, wait patiently, and resist distractions, making them safer and easier to manage in everyday situations. By the end of this program, your dog will demonstrate dependable obedience and improved responsiveness in everyday environments.
Recall
A reliable recall is one of the most important skill a dog can have. We build this carefully and progressively, ensuring it holds up in parks and public spaces where distractions are high and a solid recall really matters.
How the Program Works :
Every dog comes in at a different level, and every owner has different goals. Before the program begins, I take the time to understand where your dog is currently at and what you want to achieve, and from there we agree on the number of sessions that makes the most sense. Some dogs and owners get to where they want to be in 6 sessions, while others benefit from the additional depth and practice that 8 or 10 sessions provide. The goal is always a realistic, honest plan that works for both you and your dog.

Who This Program Is For:
The Basic Obedience program is for anyone with a dog aged 8 months or older who wants to build a solid foundation of skills and everyday manners. Whether you are starting from scratch or looking to sharpen up existing behaviors, this program gives you and your dog the consistency and support needed to make real, lasting progress.
