Story Heading
Bringing a new puppy home is exciting, but quickly becomes overwhelming for many pet parents. Your puppy is irresistibly cute, but the nipping, accidents and general chaos? Not so much! With so much conflicting advice available, it's easy to feel unsure about what to do next. The first few months are one of the most important windows in a dog's life, and the habits and experiences your puppy has during this time will shape their behavior for years to come. Puppy Foundations is designed to help you start things off on the right foot, with clear guidance, structure, and support from the very beginning.
This program is available for puppies between 2 and 6 months of age and is structured around 5 in-home sessions. Teaching your puppy in their own environment means the learning is practical, and immediately applicable to your daily routine.
Why Early Training Matters:
Puppies are constantly learning, whether we're actively teaching them or not. Starting early means you're shaping behavior before unwanted habits have a chance to set in. It also means building a foundation of trust and communication between you and your dog that will benefit you for years to come. The program also includes guidance on preventing common behavioral issues down the line, such as resource guarding and separation anxiety, before they have a chance to develop.
If you're looking for more comprehensive support, I also offer a 12-session puppy training program that covers a wider range of skills and situations in greater depth.

Don't just take my word for it. Here's what some of my clients and their dogs have experienced working together.

I highly recommend Alisha as a dog trainer! She has been instrumental in training our puppy, and the progress we've seen is incredible. She deeply cares for dogs, and our puppy absolutely loves her. She is also patient and brings a wealth of experience in both training and general care. We appreciated her detailed explanations which helped us understand the why behind the behaviors and training methods. In addition her puppy training program was well structured yet adaptable to suit our needs. Overall, she is responsible, skilled and genuinely loving and we are glad she is our puppy's trainer.
